Lebanon Traveler – a new magazine
Lebanon Traveler is a new magazine launched on June 29, 2011 the objective of which is the promotion of off the beaten track tourism in Lebanon.
Lebanon Traveler – a quarterly magazine
The Lebanon Traveler magazine that is published each 3 months is produced from a joint-venture between Beyond Beirut, which is an association that works for the promotion of alternative tourism out of the capital, and the Hospitality Services group, known for the hospitality industry fair Horeca and Garden Show.
Beyond Beirut wanted to have a publication that speaks of its activities. Lebanon Traveler is therefore a magazine that concentrates on patrimonial tourism, culture and gastronomy of the country.
The English magazine is redacted by a team of around 10 persons, under the editorial direction of Leena Saidi, and 5000 copies of it will be distributed each quarter. Its sales price is not yet defined, but most probably it will be around 5000 Lebanese Pounds. It will also be distributed in hotels, restaurants, embassies, cultural centers, municipalities, rural communities and the information desks of the Tourism ministry. It targets all kinds of Lebanese and tourists, interested in alternative touristic circuits.
The functioning budget of Lebanon Traveler will be around 125,000 dollars yearly, and the objective of the magazine is to be able to finance itself in around one year via sales and advertising.
